saw Jimi at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium 1967 (?)...I was 12-13.... Vanilla Fudge opened....Mi t c h e l l remained one of my three primary influences in my drumming career , along with Bruford & Bonham
My only regret is that I never saw Jimi play, I left Woodstock too early.

I read that Jimi's Dad said in an interview that when Jimi was a boy he would use a straw broom for a guitar. His dad would find the loose straws all over the house. He decided to buy him a guitar. He never stopped shredding!
