I used to work for Jim down on the river and out of his home in the late 80's while in school. Wonderful human being that man, alway willing to creating a job for me when I needed it. Everything from barker on the river to lights at night (short stint as I wasn't very good). He used to keep a back stock of his older stuff for mail order (one of my jobs was to fill those orders). I think of those days in San Antone, jazz spilling out onto the river with fond memories, glad I found him here.

Riverwalk is the best program on Public Radio. The Jim Cullum jazz band really cooks. Every time I hear them I get up and dance.
I got to hear the band on the 'walk in 1997 w/ my dad -- it was terrific.

This is a terrific band and the Riverwalk venue is really special. I am disappointed that our local public radio station dropped them.
Pity this music is so under-valued by the majority of listeners, it has real worth and is so NOT elevator music. It must have been exciting to have been there when this was new and fresh, remember, this was our parents and grandparents rock n roll! I feel fortunate that some few are dedicated to preserving this most wonderful music form --- let it never die
