Canadian rumba flamenco artist Jesse Cook has blended the exotic Spanish music form with elements of new age, jazz, and easy listening on his releases for Narada Records. Signed to the label in 1994, he produced his debut, Tempest, one year later. Gravity, released in 1996, hit the Top Ten on the new age charts. Vertigo was released two years later, and Free Fall appeared in mid-2000. In 2003 Nomad came out, followed by the live album Montréal in 2004. Though it was started conceptually in 2005, Cook didn't issue his next studio album, Frontiers, which marked a return to his initial simpler production style, until 2007. The Rumba Foundation followed in 2009. Cook varied the routine a bit with his next release, 2012's The Blue Guitar Sessions, adding ballads and vocals on some tracks (by singer Emma-Lee) for a more expansive and jazzy mid-stream pop sound. ~ John Bush, Rovi

Yes, I can imagine Jesse in the midst of a Temecula (just north of San Diego) winery (Thorton) playing - I believe I've seen him perform there 2-3 times. Let's not forget the sun setting moments over the San Diego bay listening to Jesse at Humphrey's by the Bay. I've been in love with Jesse's music since hearing Tempest while wandering around a Wherehouse music store (anyone remember those?). I didn't leave the store without the CD. Jesse, please keep San Diego in the rotation for future concer
I went to see Jesse Cook in Pismo Beach once. Jesse Cook has never played Pismo Beach. Now what did I do that for ? ( If he had been there I bet he'd have been great.) DMB
This guy is simply AMAZING in sooo many ways! I am stripping paint off the floor of an old house we purchased and I just could not stop my 55 yr. old a** from jumping up and dancing. INFECTIOUS STUFF and I won't get the vaccine!

Jesse, my heart strings are resonating to your every pluck, twang and strum. You and all of your crowd and genre are appeciated and admired. You can certainly give up your day job...I know, I know, this is your day job...the one you do for love and never money. Tks. DMB
I can sure see why Lexus promotes on this station....we've got class! There are lots of people with money and without class but very few with class but without money. I,ll take choice B every time...a Lexus goes with that doesn't it?. DMB
