The summer had inhaled and held its breath too long The winter looked the same, as if it never had gone And through an open window where no curtain hung I saw you, I saw you comin' back to me

such s descriptive song, and for those of you too young to have been young in the sixties, it evokes all the aching hopefulness and longing for a world with more love, more tenderness and peace. It was a nice dream.
Those were the days my friends, yes those were the days..what happened to our revolution for Love and Peace, did we loose that battle? Next time you see a stranger on the street, just smile a hello......and maybe he will do the same,to the next person , just spread alittle happiness

Hippieville plus. I love this song and this album and always have since I first heard it new in 1969. Damn that is good stuff.
My God..I had forgotten about this song. So haunting and melancholy, a masterpiece really. Great lyrics, music and vocals.
"Small things like reasons
Are put in a jar.
Whatever happened to wishes,
Wished on a star?
Was it just something
That I made up for fun?
I saw you, I saw you,
Coming back to me. "
