@sportyballergirl : i think it's about how humans sin even though religion says a god died for them, and they're sort of ungrateful. the first verse sounds like the kid's basically stealing from a dead person (and ancient greeks also put coins on the eyes of their dead), and i think the second verse is a reference to leda, in greek mythology...
I actually had to pull over and call my local radio station when I first heard this song. I just had to know who did it and what it was called so I could go get it immediately. I never NOT get excited when this song comes on. This hands down comes in consistently as my favorite song across all genres.
