Pre-teenage R&B sensations in the early '90s, Immature were formed in Los Angeles by producer/mentor Chris Stokes around barely ten-year-olds Marques "Batman" Houston, Jerome "Romeo" Jones, and Kelton "LDB" Kessee. The trio recorded their debut album, On Our Worst Behavior, for Virgin in 1992 and scored a modest R&B hit with "Tear It Up" (from the animated film Bebe's Kids). After moving to MCA for 1994's Playtyme Is Over, Immature scored with the pop hits "Never Lie" and "Constantly," pushing the album into gold territory. The trio then appeared in the Kid 'n Play film House Party 3. Third album We Got It also did well, though no single cracked the Top 40; "Feel the Funk," from the movie Dangerous Minds, came the closest, at number 46. For their fourth LP The Journey, Immature flirted with changing their name -- the obvious choice was Mature -- but decided to focus the change in direction on the music. The Journey did well on the R&B charts, but failed to translate to a pop success. They switched to IMx for 1999's Introducing IMx, but their sound wasn't much different than before. The new millennium saw the release of a greatest-hits package, issued in February 2001. ~ John Bush, Rovi
This group I luv sooooooooooooooo much. This is the first boy (batman-marques) I ever loved, crushed, dreamed and fantasied about. I went to almost all immature's concerts. I still get goosebumps when I see Marques Houston on t.v.

So many years ago. I love this song like no other. This was me and my first love's song when we were kids. I was like 13 or 14 years old when it came out. I miss this group.

my favorite boy band when i was younger. i had the biggest crush on romeo.
i never knew that their albums never went platinum..??????? what the hell???? They were one of the best groups of the 90's, I go back and listen to their music and love it as much now as i did then...
I just have to say, for clarification purposes and because I thought he was so fine back then, Is It Me is actually by Monteco. He was signed by Chris Stokes and of course was Immature's label mate and they helped to get this single out there. Now of course he was a one-hit wonder but I just had to put that on here to at least give him his props.

why was ldb always wearing that patch on his eye?
Karrie 92 LDB has always been a memeber. He was on the drums and when Half Pint left or was asked to leave or whatever they asle LDB to step forward. I am theit ultimate fan. I never missed a concert and I meet them in person twice. I LOVE LOVE LOVE AND MISS THEM. I have never been crazy over another group or person the way I was for them.
