Comments

The problem is that it is something else and they are showing it's Stravinski. Da, da! At list show the right piece playing.
For all the people who read the fall of Western Civilization in the lack of ol' Iggy's bio on Pandora, please just chill.

If you look at the screen while any of his compositions is playing (in the Now Playing view), you'll see the first couple of sentences or so of a properly reverential bio. Even in that little snippet you can see him acknowledged as probably the most influential artist since Beethoven (my opinion).

This seems to be a technical glitch, pure and simple. Bad software.
Yes, we can get Biographies from libraries and we can read books but that doesn't change the fact that there is obvious favoritism when it comes to music. I guess what I'm trying to say is that we hate it when great musicians and composers of older times are not given the same respect as the great musicians of this age. Actually, believe it or not but some people do complain about some crazy things, Just read and you'll find out.

Legend tells that only the True Emperor can see the biography. Please post here if you can see it my lord your people need you

If you guys want a Stravinksy bio, try...I dont know READING A BOOK? Do you go into a fast food place and complain your nuggets are overcooked and under seasoned??? No, because fast food is crap. This is pandora, not a music encyclopedia .
N0 bio.......go back to work pandora
where is the bio...this is Stravinsky for Gods sake...Pando r a you have let me down....two page bio for some pop star imbecile, and nothing here, when there is much to cover, considering Stravinsky's long run and game changing music...

Where's the bio?
nisrael2992 I also find this disturbing. It's not just Pandora but a movement where we are abandoning wonderful things in favor of bland but new versions. Whether it's music, movies, or...values. I am appalled at the lack of a bio for Stravinsky's page. However I find it more appalling that people actually purchase the albums of artist such as 50 cent. These are dark times indeed.
What happened to the bio?
where's the bio??

joe schenck .... um seririously?
I had the honor and pleasure of seeing Igor conduct the S.F. Symphony in the mid-1960's. It was an unforgettabl e and thrilling experience. His tempos were perfect and sense of pace awesome. Unlike most composers, he was the greatest interpreter of his own music.
I wanted to read the bio!
When this composition was performed for the first time, people hated it. They nearly rioted. We now recognize the disjointment as a metaphor of the times, and while it seems to be all over the place, it is actually a tight composition, if a bit ambitious.

Y'all need to crawl back under dat rock you came from.
No Bio!?!? WTF! I did see Le Sacre du printemps performed by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra this summer. Gave me chills! A giant amoung 20th century composers!
nisrael2992
50 Cent apparently has a full-length bio, but Pandora neglects one of the pioneers of 20th century music...
Don't read this because it actually works. You will be kissed on the nearest possible Friday by the love of you life. Tomorrow will be the best day of your life. However if you don't post this you will die in 2 days. Now you've started reading so don't stop. This is so scary put this on at least 5 songs in 143 minutes. When done press f6 and your lover's name will come on the screen in big letters. This is so scary because it actually works
Symphonies of Wind Instruments: One the 20th Centuries landmark masterpieces !
one of the worst tunes of all time

Usually the most famous are later proved to not be the real deal of their time. E.g. Bach was discovered 100 years later.

dis is some good jams

One cannot imagine Bernstein without Stravinski.
The Firebird. Such a spellbinder. It never grows old.
one cannot possibly imagine the 20th c. without Stravinsky!
