Hard rockers J. Loren and Evan Johns met after Johns' producer father, Andy, heard Loren on a demo tape and was intrigued by the singer's voice. Upon hearing that Loren was looking for a drummer, Andy Johns arranged for the two young musicians to get in touch, and they quickly found that they played well together. Soon guitarist Paul Spatola and bassist Joshua Ansley joined (though Loren also plays guitar and violin for the band and Johns adds piano) and Hurt was completed. In 2006, their debut, Vol. I, came out on Capitol Records, while the following year the appropriately titled Vol. II was released. ~ Marisa Brown, Rovi
Seen them at jagerMeister music tour when they debuted in 2006 been my favorite band ever since. They were opening band for staind three days grace and buck cherry and put on a better show than all of them. Def. one of the best bands of this Gen. Mad love for you guys. - Bret Meister.
For a guy who was brought up playing classical music J.Loren can rock the s**t out of that violin. I.saw these guys a few years back on their first tour to milwaukee. Been a follower ever since

i think that the musical genius that goes into these songs is incredible. All their albums are exceptional. Lyrically they are so well constructed. Isnt it funny how u hear a song by them and chills spread? they know how to shake the fabric of simple thinking. Mad props
i love this band they were my first ever concert to go to. It was AMAZING the bad thing is that it being my first i will compare my other concerts to it and none of them will compare.

@callsigntank This group might not fit the genre that it's categorized, but to call their musicianship medicore is well... you're just not listening to the same band the rest of us are

How did this end up on Rhapsody of Fire Radio? Come on pandora, this mediocre musicianship does not belong on a Neoclassical Symphonic Power Metal channel, it bears no similarities to the genre.

Starting to really love the music these guys make, hope they come down to Baton Rouge sometime soon. I would love to see them live.
This is one of my favorite bands ever!! They are one of the most under rated bands!! I just got to see them in a small venue and there were only about 25 people there.
I luv this artist/ everything about their group reminds me of alot ROCK ON

HURT ROCKS!!!! Best New Band Period.

Everything about HURT's music is great. Lyrics are emotionally stirring, to say the least. The vocals are amazing, and the band keeps up without missing a beat. Would very much like to hear them in person.
I first herd this band on X103 when i lived in Indiana. After hearing "rapture" I was in love with the band. Then I saw them in concert that year at X Fest in Noblesville, IN. I was amazed that the lead singer played violin. Made me fall even harder. :) thanks Hurt for your wonderful music. It inspires my dance. Keep rockin!

Goodbye to the Machine was not a bad album; just a different approach.
I can NOT wait for The Crux though.
It inspires my dance. Keep rockin!
