Goatwhore

Louisiana black metal outfit Goatwhore was formed by singer/guitarist Sammy Duet following the breakup of his previous band, Acid Bath. Former Soilent Green singer L. Ben Falgoust II, guitarist Ben Stout, bassist Patrick Bruders, and drummer Zak Nolan completed the lineup, which debuted with the demo Serenades to the Tides of Blood; Goatwhore's proper debut LP, The Eclipse of Ages into Black, followed in early 2000. Funeral Dirge for the Rotting Sun appeared in 2003 before the band jumped to Metal Blade for fall 2006's A Haunting Curse, and 2009's Carving Out the Eyes of God. Goatwhore plundged deep into the suckyness after Eclipse of Ages Into Black. From Great to oh great, another crapass Goatwhore album. The same goes for Solient Green. P**sy Soul is, imo the only good album.
Goatwhore will forever hold a place in my heart as the first band I straight up moshed to...was in the same pit as the singer for Cerebral Bore, no less.
Met these guys. BEYOND COOL.

Goatwhore f**king rocks!! What better way to hear a band I had never heard of, than to see them live opening for Suffocation and the horrible Devil Driver. Yes, that's right, Devil Driver sucks on CD and even worse live. Goatwhore blew me away, I'm now a fan of theirs for life.

When I alphabetized my CD's, Goatwhore ended up next to Gershwin. It made me smile.
seeing these guys this month w/ amon amarth, skeletonwitc h and lazarus AD. f**kin psyched. the only true metal anymore is black.

one of my favorite locals! I love New Orleans and our local music scene... best in the world! We have the greats like goatwhore, soilent green, crowbar, down, corrosion of conformity, acid bath, etc... and plenty of still unsigned greats you won't find on pandora yet, but are just as f**kin killah!
