Known as the "Master of the Quiet Storm," bassist Gary Taylor played sideman on dozens of albums during the 1960s, '70s, and '80s, and became a fixture of his own on adult contemporary radio with his own recordings, beginning with 1991's Take Control. Albums followed for Sindrome and Morning Crew during the '90s. ~ John Bush, Rovi
Got turned on to Gary Taylor's music in 2000 and was in heavy rotation in my CD player while I was a courier putting in 188 miles a night! I know all the words to his songs to all his CD'S! Just a smooth brother that is definitely underrated.
Among the likes of Frank McComb, Dennis Taylor and the new Donnie, I am newly excited and entranced! These are the men who have the keys... Real Music, grown folk business.
Awsome with smooth vocal... This is love music for grown adult

The song I Will Be Here is on the cd Mood of Midnight, not Take Control that you have listed.
Gary Taylors music is especially for the grown and sexxy :) I first experienced your music in the ATL along with Will Downing. I'll be y'all number # 1 fan for eternity. I'm livinging back in Cali know, hope to see you and Will round the Diego area soon. Much love to the both my beautiful bothers. Love your spirits, they restore my faith.
I grew up in LA in the 80's. We had dj at night who did what is called Quiet Storm'. He used GaryTaylor's song Tease Me. I thought as a young girl this is the best song I have ever heard, especially loving smooth jazz at an early age. I finally went to the record shop and find out who this incredible man was. I have been hooked every since. You are an awesome singer and I hope to one day see you in concert

I just learned of your music, thanks to someone convincing me to buy your CD. I must say I am a new fan but now a fan for life. I will be buying your other CD's. Thanks Gary
i don't know why AMG (All Music Guide) has me in a BIO playing a Bass or performing in the 60's or 70's... i'm not the Master of anything, let alone the Master of the Quiet Storm... that would be Melvin Lindsey (WHUR) who created it... i got my start in the early 80's and have been Blessed enough to still be doing music to this date... just thought you should know the real...
