Texas-born songwriter Chapman came to early fame with "My Father's Eyes," made popular by Amy Grant, whom he later married. He has also had songs recorded by T.G. Sheppard, Kenny Rogers and other country artists. ~ Thom Granger, Rovi
I love love this song, it reminds me of good times that I had when i was little. But the bad thing is that I had to do was change my little sister when she was 1 and 2. Trust me it does not smell good. And I had to walk the dog whitch is not so bad though, but I have to pick put the leash away, and I did not like it not one bit. And stop laughing all you people who are reading this and is giggleing.
Celebrating the memories I have of knowing Amy and Gary personally. Beautiful people. Both of them. And by the way, Gary and Steven Curtis are not brothers. :o)
Man After My Own Heart is a beautiful song. This is a very talented man. Whatever happened between him and Amy Grant is their business, The man has a gift and we his fans are the recipients.

Thank you, great God of everything, for your undeserved mercy and grace that is freely available through the sinless, once-for-all, crucified, risen, ascended and coming again LORD Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
I like Gary's music - and his brother, Stepeh Curtis, too! Talented family.

Just keep your eyes on Jesus! Love, love, love this song! Both he and Amy had God given gifts!

Yes, let's forget everything but how the music places our hearts. It's his/His offering to us. So, peace on . . . ./Henboker

I resent the negative comment about Amy. That was a rumor and there's been a number of personal interviews that indicate other than that rumor. I've paid close attention to that story over the years and it's certainly a judgment call but the interviews are compelling. I would caution folks before blindly accepting wild rumors at face value and then blasting a person publicly that way as if it were a statement of fact.
I know nothing about his life but it is not for me to judge anything anyway. God uses us all where He finds us. He is a source of Gods blessing to me.

Yup, Amy Grant conducted herself with such grace and dignity she had an adulterous affair with Vince Gill, who was also married. That's class right there...

Clearly this man has an addiction problem, among other things. How sad. I wonder how many people he has in his life who will tell him the truth about himself. Hopefully he doesn't have the coterie of co-dependent sycophant enablers that typically attend wealthy, successful people in the industry. I always admired Amy Grant for the dignity and integrity with which she conducted herself during what must have been a very distressing time in their marriage. She never exposed Chapman during or after
Met him briefly after he opened for Amy one night in Dallas. I liked him VERY much. Loved what he did with, "It is Well with My Soul". I still get goose bumps. I know there are always two sides to any story. I would love to hear them both.

It's not that they could not find out more, but that most fans (particularly of CCM music) who are not familiar with his biography would be very dissapointed to read it; and it was all heavily publicized back in the day.

And now that I listen to his version of "Holy, Holy, Holy" extra sorry. It's like not finding a biography of Pacabel!
What vessel did/does that amazing sound come through? How else can I find out how to be one! ;-)
