Foxy Shazam's music is an unhinged, maniacal mix of piano, guitar, howling vocals, double-kickdrum percussion, and rock & roll theatrics. The quintet hails from Cincinnati, Ohio, where bandmates Eric Nally (vocals), Loren Turner (guitar), Daisy (bass), Sky White (piano), and Joe Halberstadt (drums) first joined forces in 2004. Recording sessions for The Flamingo Trigger began that year and stretched into early 2005, and Foxy Shazam supported the album's June release with a series of headlining show dates. New Weatherman Records took an interest in the band's rambunctious, genre-melding sound, and Foxy Shazam signed to the label before entering the studio for a second time. Released in partnership with Ferret Music, Introducing Foxy Shazam arrived in early 2008. The next year the band made the juimp to the big leagues, signing on with Sire Records and releasing its third album, the eponymous Foxy Shazam, in 2010. The album was well-received, and Foxy Shazam broke onto the Billboard charts for the first time at number 151. In 2012 the theatrical rockers released their fourth album, The Church of Rock and Roll. ~ Andrew Leahey, Rovi
This is like one of the handful of current bands that are f**king awesome that haven't, like, been together since the 80s-90s. See them live. Trust me it'll blow your mind

Friend told me about Foxy years ago when they opened for Franz Ferdinand in Chicago. Been hooked ever since. The put on the best show I've ever seen.
Discovered Foxy Shazam when they opened for Slash in NYC a couple of month ago. They totally stole the show and I have been listening to Foxy Shazam non-stop ever since. Can't say enough great things about their music.

There aren't enough good things I can say about Foxy. Amazing live show, great energy on the record and every song is totally unique from the next. I love this band. Thank you for the hours and hours of entertainment.

good album...Eric is the greatest frontman in the Biz today...Their live shows should go on every rock and roll fans bucket list...However, I still like the old Foxy better, Introducing Foxy and The Flamingo Trigger are EFFING SICK!!!!!!
This doesn't even mention their self-titled album in the description. What's up with that? I mean, their already about to come out with an new one next month o.o

Their trumpet player is Alex Nauth, he is officially a band member and should be mentioned in the band description. Love them! Saw them at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
I saw them at Warped Tour 2011 in Noblesville, IN, I LOVE THEM TO PIECES!!!! And these guys are so nice in person :D "brain cells come, and brain cells go, but Foxy Shazam lives forever"-Eric Nally DAMN STRAIGHT!!!!
Fantastic live, I watched them in Portland, OR with the fall of Troy and was amazed. In an interwiew Nally stated that he didn't actually eat the ciggarettes but chewed them up and spit them out while his back was turned to the audiance.
I agree its sad you're missing The Flamingo Trigger I listened to these guys (WAY too much) when it came out, I was 15, then somehow forgot and rediscovered them once again when I saw they were playing a local gig (Sadly I couldn't go)
Saw them in San Fancy at Bottom of The Hill with The Fall of Troy and Eric ate the cigarette. The man has a fun and interactive stage presence about him But the music was intense to watch live. A friend of mine at the time said check them out and he was right a great CD to listen to to get pumped or work out to to keep your energy going. Red Cape Diver, Yes! Yes! Yes!, Science of Love is fun too but I love ROCKETEER! IT'S MY JAM!
this band is truly amazing. if you don't like their sound i highly recommend seeing them live. one of the best and most energetic shows i've ever seen. also try to get ahold of their first album THE FLAMINGO TRIGGER, awesome.
