Hard rock supergroup the Firm united former Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page with onetime Free and Bad Company frontman Paul Rodgers; bassist Tony Franklin and ex-Uriah Heep drummer Chris Slade completed the lineup, founded in 1984. Their self-titled debut album appeared on Atlantic a year later, cracking the Top 20 on the strength of the hit single "Radioactive," but overall the record's impact was relatively minimal given the pedigrees of Page and Rodgers, and even the reaction to the group's lone tour proved surprisingly lukewarm. After one more LP, 1986's Mean Business, the Firm shut down; while Page and Rodgers resumed their respective solo careers, Franklin later resurfaced in Blue Murder, and Slade joined AC/DC. ~ Jason Ankeny, Rovi
I must say that The Firm was one of the best show's I have seen ever.

Just saw BC in Durant OK of all places and Paul Rodgers was amazing. NEVER tired and his voice is just as strong and mesmorizing as it always has been Mick Ralphs and Simon Kirke were with him along with the guitarist from Heart. ONE BAD A** SHOW!!!!!
rodgers lacks the intensity of Robert Plant and these unfortunetly are recycled zep songs. The band didn't play to Rodgers strenghths as a vocalist. hence they died a quick quiet and painless death.
Selfish thinking (but it's not like these guys didn't have great careers), but I'm glad most of the listening public didn't get into these albums. Would have hated to see Spirit of Love played on hit radio. My circle of friends (dudes and dudettes) consider The Firm to be one of musics highlights. Before the Firms's official formation, I saw Paul Rogers and Jimmy Page perform Stairway to Heaven live during the British Invasion tour (sick concert). Loved that performance and love these albums.
I SEEN THESE GUYS IN CONCERT WAY BACK WHEN AND THEY WERE AWESOME. ITS TOO BAD THEY DIDN'T CONTINUE ON. I'M VERY SURPRISED SEEING PAGE AND RODGERS WERE FRONT RUNNERS. I'M HOPING LED ZEP WILL REUINITE AND TOUR THE US. WISHFUL THINKING!
