Post-hardcore trio the Fall of Troy formed in Mukilteo, WA, in 2002. Singer/guitarist Thomas Erak, singer/bassist Tim Ward, and drummer Andrew Forsman previously collaborated in 30 Years War, a screamo outfit they formed with fellow high school classmate Mike Munro on guitar. After a pair of self-released 2002 EPs, Martyrs Among the Casualties and Live at the Paradox, Munro left the group, citing day-job commitments, and the remaining trio continued as the Fall of Troy, selecting the name as before by randomly opening the pages of a history textbook. Their self-titled debut LP followed on Lujo Records in late 2003. At the time of recording, all three members were still under the age of 17, and apart from a handful of Pacific Northwest dates and a brief California tour, their live schedule was limited until the following year, when they self-released an EP, Ghostship. In mid-2005 the Fall of Troy issued Doppelgänger, their first effort for new label Equal Vision Records. During their April 30, 2006, gig at the Columbus, OH, venue The Basement, an angry Erak announced, "This is the last song the Fall of Troy will ever play together," but the trio later scotched rumors of their imminent breakup via their official website and entered the studio that December with producer Matt Bayles (Isis, Botch) to record new material. (One lineup change: Ward's place was taken by Frank Ene.) They emerged with the album Manipulator, which surfaced on record shelves in early May 2007, as spring was spent supporting the Deftones on nationwide dates. ~ Jason Ankeny, Rovi
I still think the ghosthip demos are their best work...i really can't stand phantom on the horizon because they pale in comparison. I wish i could get my hands on a copy...
At their Tempe Show in 2007 I grabbed Thomas Erak's fine a**, I liked it, I could care less if he felt violated... I was only 16.... That was one of the best moments of my life. It's saddening to me to kow they are broken up, but I know one day they will be together again... ♥
Saw their absolute last show in New Haven, CT. And now I listen to them everyday.

the lead singer is like my 2nd cousine or something

W00t! Got to see one of their final shows. Tommy's mic got kicked into his mouth by a crowd surfer and he played through like 10 more songs periodically washing it down with rum and coke. He threw his bloody rags out to people haha
they are gods. they will never break up in spirit. and they even know it. so i hardly doubt they will be able to keep their amazing, face melting, spine shaking, pants poopin, rock from the rest of the world
Tera Melos should be in there. The only band that sounds anything like TFOT
littleangryfinn
You really think TFOT sounds like Dillinger...? I disagree.
TFOT is AMAZING live. So tight. Highly recommended.

Similar artists listed for T.F.O.T. are just artists that fans of the band will probably also be fans of. obviously they don't sound like them, thomas erak is the only guitarist out of any of these bands that plays literally every song in a syncopated rhythm.
danieldrake18
silly pandora there is no band like The Fall of Troy.
lafreakingform
pandora needs to update their bio on the fall of troy... new EP, new album, new bassist.
I have listened to all their albums, and seen them live. I can honestly say that Thomas Erak probably has one of the most original and creative guitar styles since Eddie Van Halen. Mad Props

i have yet to see/hear an equally talented 3 member band, and i dont think i will....EVER! long live the troy.
Been my favorite band since I picked up Doppleganger when it first came out. And Thomas Erak is easily the most talented guitarist in the hardcore scene.
saosin is what they s**t this morning... no. These guys are climbing (in my book) to great heights such as the mars volta, they just need to keep their egos in check, like they have and they will pwn. definately best post hardcore band out there (partially due to the fact the At the Drive In is no more) These guys are sick.
They're the only 'screamo' band I like. I just skip all the other songs until they play one by TFoT. All the other bands Pandora chose so far haven't been so good.

The Fall of Troy does NOOTTT sound like any of the bands under "Similar Artists"
that's bullshit
they sound more like:
Tera Melos
Protest The Hero
The Number Twelve Looks Like You
The Sounds Of Animals Fighting
The Dillinger Escape Plan
Pandora sucks ://
lol at manipulator cover :)
Intonation-C h e c k . Ensemble-Che c k . Creativity-C h e c k .
Other artists should feel inadequate in hearing material like this.
