Guitarist Esteban (Stephen Paul) began playing his favorite instrument at a very young age. Having graduated from Pittsburgh's Carnegie Mellon University, the talented musician moved to Spain to take master classes with Andrés Segovia, known as the father of the modern classical guitar movement, returning to the U.S. in 1978. Unfortunately, due to a car accident, Esteban, nicknamed by his teacher and mentor, was unable to play guitar for a decade. Starting all over again during the 1990s, Esteban became a chart-topper after independently releasing By Request and Flame Flamenco & Romance. Dozens of albums followed, and in time Esteban developed a guitar teaching program that he marketed largely through television and video, along with his own American Legacy guitar line, which he features prominently in the videos. Best of Esteban appeared on CD in 2006. ~ Drago Bonacich, Rovi
His music just sings from his guitar. I could just about hear Abba doing thiS song... gives me chills. I always cry when I hear Fernando a wonderful and deep hearted. Song!!!
AN ODE FOR ESTEBAN: We are the music makers, And we are the dreamers of dreams, Wandering by lone sea breakers, And sitting by desolate streams, World-losers and world-forsakers, On whom the pale moon gleams: Yet we are the movers and shakers Of the world forever it seems. Arthur O'Shaughnessy, 1874
Dear turbotanya, Gotcha !! Thanks for the agreement sweetheart. Artists are a cultures greatest treasures and are artists because of their ability to create an aesthetic that other men can not. Artists are easy to criticize and attack by those who only seek to deminish them because of their basic evil intentions towards others. Esteban is a true artist and brings beauty into the world for others to enjoy. Everyone can admire and feel grateful for him and all artists. DMB
Picky, picky, picky John. Can you play like that or are you just his self-appointed critic and pain in the tush trying to tinkle in everyone elses corn flakes. I bet there are alot of things you have contempt and foul words for. F' you and the horse you rode in on. We're enjoying Esteban's music. DMB
Esteban is a talented guitarist, but I've got too many gripes to enjoy his music. 1) He markets himself as a Flamenco guitarist, however it's really more like classical pop guitar, not even close to Flamenco. 2) Drop the Man in Black image. There was only one Johnny Cash. 3) A big one- he beats melodies to death. That all said- I do admire a few things about Esteban. 1) He is great at marketing himself. 2) Kudos for crushing his hand and then rebuilding his skills as he has.

I forget stress on listening to his tracks. One of the most soothing tracks I've heard.
He's do'in the Zoro! I wonder if he's related to Gloria? DMB

Just this past weekend we were fortunate to be at his concert. It was wonderful. Also, his daughter is now in the band and plays the violin. Most enjoyable!!!!

His music stirs my soul. I definitely will purchase his albums.
Esteban is not only a master musician but a truely nice guy who akes his fans feel special. I have had the pleasure to meet him several times out of the concert setting , friendly, down to earth. McRobin
Johnny, Esteban has had a brilliant career I am quite sure before you were born. His horrible accident almost killed him. He has risen from the ashes like a Phoenix. He is still a brilliant performer. Please do give him a second chance. You will appreciate him even more...

I saw his cheesy infomercial selling cheap entry level acoustic guitars before I heard his music here on Pandora. Ruined it for me, but will try to give the dude a chance.
We would listen to him when he played the lounge at Hyatt at Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale, AZ. It was awesome being able to listen to him live every week in the small lounge setting (usually less than 20 people). This was back in 92 and he was just making a comeback. There are alot of people who think he is a fake but I can tell you his music in person was unbelievable. Truely a relaxing tone. He is also very appreciative of his fans.

Best guitar player I've ever heard! Sounds like he is playing multiple guitars at one time...amazing. He's easy on the eyes too...sexy.
