The female vocal quartet En Vogue was conceived and put together by the production team of Denzil Foster and Thomas McElroy, both former members of Club Nouveau. Foster and McElroy wanted a vocal group that could exude sultriness and intelligence in addition to vocal proficiency, and as producers, they wanted material that would fuse R&B and girl group traditions with hip-hop and new jack swing rhythms. En Vogue's 1990 debut album, Born to Sing, launched the pop crossover smash "Hold On." When En Vogue returned in 1992 with Funky Divas, critical and commercial response was overwhelming. ~ Steve Huey, Rovi
Me, my sis and cousins used to pretend that we were En Vogue back in the day, I sang lead and my cousin was our manager lol! love this group sad they broke up....
So sad about the legal battle between the ladies. Looks like we'll never see them all together again. Oh well, I guess all good things must come to an end.
This song made the soundtrack to the movie "set it off" it gave jada pinkett n blair underwood a sexy purpose for there romance! Man i miss the drive in movies they killed all the classic pleasures of life!
Don't read this because it actually works. You will be kissed on the nearest possible Friday by the love of you life. Tomorrow will be the best day of your life. However if you don't post this you will die in 2 days. Now you've started reading so don't stop. This is so scary put this on at least 5 songs in 143 minutes. When done press f6 and your lover's name will come on the screen in big letters
I agree with everyone who commented about EnVouge's bio. Their talent couldn't be matched by anyone in our day! Meaning this present day:) Whoever growing up in the 90's all the music was and is the best to this day. Give it up for Keith Sweat, New Edition, Bel-biv-devo, LSG, Ralph Trasvant,R-Kelly. Oh! Can't forget Toni Braxton, T.L.C,Changing Faces, soul 4real, heavy D and da boys, silk, Jodeci, h-town…… must I keep going? NAW!!!!

I always thought Terri had the strongest voice of all of them. She had more range.

Whyyyyyy the break up, I miss seeing all the loveliness and hearing the musical talent. Always takes me back to when music was good on the radio airwaves
So the bio could not even include the ladies' names. It's more about the producers than the group. They can do them a little more justice than that. They were a DAMN good group!!
En vogue is my favorite girl-group of all-time!!! Their melodies were swell, their harmonies are still unmatched, and their swag has been often imitated, but never duplicated. I would love for them to reunite and drop one more c.d. They are the epitome of musical talent!
Once upon a time, I could sing like EnVogue -- the highs and lows -- with so much emotion --As they say, when you don't use it, you lose it. ENVOGUE songs bring back so many memories.
