Emarosa is a post-hardcore band from Lexington, KY, affiliated with Rise Records. Founded in 2006, the band underwent several lineup changes before settling on the sextet of Jonny Craig (vocals; formerly of the Rise Records-affiliated band Dance Gavin Dance), ER White (guitar), Jonas Ladekjaer (guitar), Will Sowers (bass), Lukas Koszewski (drums), and Jordan Stewart (keyboards). This lineup recorded the band's seven-track debut EP, This Is Your Way Out (2007), released by Standby Records. They switched to Rise Records for their full-length album debut, Relativity (2008). The album proved popular in the post-hardcore underground, selling well enough to break into the Billboard 200 albums chart and also register on the Top Heatseekers chart. ~ Jason Birchmeier, Rovi
So I saw a concert video of Emarosa a little after this is your way out-EP came along, and Chris rRoetter and Jonny Craig were both singing/screaming to casablanca. I would have liked to see Chris and Jonny be one the other two albums, but ya know. S**t happens
all of you are overrating Jonny Craig, sure that dude can blow but Chris Roetter was even better because he could scream as well. If anything Jonny Craig just took the hardcore element from this band.
jonny craig is the only thing that made this band tolerable to my ears...now, jus like dance gavin dance, they're...jonny-less...hope things get better for both bands
I was so happy when I saw jonny craig playing in Pamona at the glasshouse. Him and Kurt Travis. It was awesome. Him and kellin Quinn singing together is.....just....... Dam.
neither jonny craig or chris roetter were the original vocalist for this band.it was chris roberts.he wrote most of this is your way out.he was sold out mid recording of the ep by the producer and other band members. these guys are d-bags.
