As mentioned, Electromagne t s was the first band Eric Johnson played; it was formed by Maddux and Brock (if I remember right) in 1973. The album was released in 1974. They did some live gigs and then broke up; they only recorded the one album, unfortunatel y - great music.
I'm not familiar with this band, but you guys are talking Eric Johnson, Dixie Dregs, Tribal Tech...let's see who can figure out why I could tie in 'Dream Theater' as a piece of this never-ending puzzle!!! (Even though the genre may be a little different). I love all of them by the way!
I'm liking what music I've heard of Electromagne t s so far!
First time I saw the Electromagen e t s it was 1977 in a bar no bigger than a postage stamp. I was one of 10 people in the audience. Watching EJ play from 4 feet away was an experience.
