Agree with Jim Good - always liked Meisner's voice. I bought his first solo album back in '80 or '81, and saw him live at the Agora at OSU (we came up from Ohio U in Athens.) He sang this song, but sarcasticall y mentioned it was with another band "you may have heard of them - The Beagles"
Randy Meisner has a fantastic voice . This is one of my favorite songs ever.

The Eagles are definitley one of the purest of the perfectional bands of all time. Their blending of instruments and vocals are second to none. I agree with kgpalmer6184 , that Randy Meisner leaving the band was a sad thing. His guitar/any string instrument was impeccable. Eagles are one of the best USA bands ever. Unfortunatel y , their best singer Randy Meisner left early and was not featured enough on lead vocals. This song and Take It to the Limit have tremendous vocals that are vastly underrated.
