I'm only 27, but as a fan of American pop culture history I can picture myself then riding in the pasenger seat of a Model A.

I concur with you jbsientz. A true legend and musical genius. I will sip this cognac in his memory, cheers.

For those just getting acquainted with the Duke's genius, this version is an instrumental. The version with lyrics sung by Al Hibbler came later (along with Mr. Hibbler's interesting pronunciation of the word "anymore" at the close as "henty-more"). So at the time of this recording, the title was "Never No Lament" ... but with or without lyrics and by any name, this is a great recording of a wonderful piece of music.
