Canadian Christian rock outfit Downhere was formed in 1998 by then Bible College roommates Marc Martel and Jason Germain. After adding Tyson Manning and Jeremy Thiessen, the group released its 1999 independent eponymous debut. The album was reissued (and partially re-recorded) internationally in 2001 with new bass player Glenn Lavender on Word Records, and was followed in 2003 by So Much for Substitutes, also for Word. Downhere inked a deal with Centricity Records in 2006 for its third release, the Juno and Dove award-winning Wide-Eyed and Mystified, followed by Ending Is Beginning in 2008. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
i am not usually a ballad type person, but this song really speaks to me, the harmonics are awesome and the rich praise for our Lord totally lifts my heart and helps point my eyes to the throne, I am looking forward to what is next from these fine young men

We were blessed to see Downhere in concert and were able to get right by the stage!! They are as good live as when in the studio to record... that doesn't happen too often. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole concert... it was for our son's 18th birthday. He got to meet the whole band after the concert and they are really down to earth (I guess kinda like their name). We love their music.

Let Rediscover you is the powerful song I ever heard up to June 2011.

The best mix of different music it's great, i'm a music person this song draws my attention. The Last Amen.
i've seen them in concert many times. I love their music and the members' hearts for God. So exciting to see a group that simply wants to glorify God.

this group has the same rock and harmonic qualities as Queen, but better, and a little Partridge family, at least in "the Last Amen. They are awesome!!
I am loving this band and almost every song they have made! The music is great and the lyrics hit me right where I live. I saw them live first and then bought their cd's. HAD to have them!!!
I am a bit speechless that they put them with caedmon's call and everyday sunday- I dont get the comparisons. My opinion, their first album will always have a way of "stopping me to listen" and "so blue" is it for me.
Fantastic band, with moving, "right when/where you need it" music and lyrics. They have definitely been a worthy and special musical staple of mine since 2001, continue to encourage and edify those that hear it. :) favorites for me are: Protest to Praise, Raincoat, Sureenter, Remember me, A Better Way, and I miss you here.
i saw them in concert with Fellow, A Rotterdam November, and Ruth, if you have a chance to see any of them , then go see them

Their albums Thunder After Lightning - 2007, and Ending Is Beginning - 9/2008 should be added to Pandora! Why is there no info on them?

One of my favorite bands ever, since their first album. I have every one of their albums and they are all good. My favorites are the first one actually, and their new album that just came out. They are musically very talented, and they have a variety, I mean their stuff doesn't all sound the same which is nice. Also they come across to me as very sincere. I am going to see them in concert soon, I can hardly wait!
