Amazing song. Shows how great the 60s were. The decade that started it all. The best bands ever. Although the the 70s are arguably the best, they are not.
Like the other version better, but this one was neat, too.

....the 'stronger than dirt' line may refer to another doors song used in a Ford car TV ad...the story was morrison was upset with the band for selling 'light my fire' for a tv ad so he added the tag line from the Ajax ad to 'touch me'.....
This song is pretty epic, it has a beat that almost anyone can recognize, and the lyrics are also pretty simple, and i agree it does sounds kinda like "pop" but that only gives this song a better signature, enjoy
This is one of my favorite Doors songs - it's the most "pop" sounding - as Robby Kriger was the author - but, as always, Jim Morrison's vocal rises above all the members- so great a singer he was ! Hard to believe it was inspired by an Ajax comercial - they say so at the end..." stronger than dirt "....only the Doors ! AND they still sound good today !
