The D.O.C.

After the release of his debut album, the career of Texas-born rapper the D.O.C. was shattered by a car crash that almost took his life. Although he could no longer rap like he used to, his former producer Dr. Dre featured the rapper on his groundbreaking album The Chronic, which built on the foundation laid by the D.O.C.'s No One Can Do It Better. He was also featured on Snoop Doggy Dogg's Doggystyle. The D.O.C. returned in early 1996 with Helter Skelter, his first album in nearly seven years. The album received mixed reviews and failed to earn a large audience, leaving the charts a few months after its release. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, Rovi

D.O.C.s debut album, No One Can Do It Better, was one of the best rap albums of all time. It's too bad his vocals were compromised shortly thereafter.

Love the Diggy Diggy DOC!
peace family! Still one of our living legends.
DOC = Dallas, Oak Cliff
The D.O.C. does not get enough respect for his contribution to the 'Golden Era' of rap. No One Can Do It Better is still one of my favorite albums of all time, and that's rock, rap, whatever. Damn shame what happened to his voice but glad to see he's still trying to make it happen.
voice sounds great on helter thats what makes it good

20 years later and "It's Funky Enough" is better than most hip hop out there. What a classic. Just a shame the guy lost most of his vocal chords.
rodney.terre l l
Watch out!!! The Dirty South!! We are not talking hip hop but straight up rymin. The D. O. C. is in a class of his own. Here in the south-Dallas , Tx to be exact-He is still respected. Here you say D.O.C. you also say about U.G.K.
greatguy
This is funkin' enough
mamahas4boys
hE WAS COOL
He blew it up with his on style. Im glad he left Dr.Rock and hooked up with Dr.Dre
If the DOC still had the voice to sell his talent, the west coast would still be king. If you don't think "No One Can Do It Better" sets the stage for today's hip-hop rap standard, then you are too young to remember when true gangsta a** lyrical flows and west coast beats blew waaaay past P.E. and KRS1. Out here, we actually bumped yo trunk and made you listen to the words. East coast studio wangsters sell tracks, west coast n**gas drop documentable facts.
I DIDN'T REALLY DIG HIS 1ST ALBUM BUT HELTER SKELTER WAS
THE SH*T! I BOUGHT THE ALBUM SHORTLY AFTER IT CAME OUT AND HAVE BEEN
BANGING IT IN THE PLAYER EVER SINCE. I HAVE BEEN CRITIZED MORE THAN ONCE FOR
PLAYING THE D.O.C.'S "H.SKELTER" BUT YOU KNOW HIM OR YOU DON'T. EVEN THOUGH HIS VOICE IS ALL F**KED UP IT STILL SOUNDS TIGHT BECAUSE IT'S THE MESSAGE HE BRINGS AND HIS VOICE IS DOESN'T MATTER...KEE P ROCKIN!
come back d.o.c. my ni$$ga
Too bad he had an accident. Loved his first album.
From back in the day, I am happy that I found a place I can hear The D.O.C, I miss jamming the original gangsta.
