As Nuno Bettencourt put it in That Metal Show...One of the things people missed from Eddie Van Halen was the Harmonies and his rythm guitar playing. I will say they mised the musicality and this cover is a great example of that. The solo they used to replace the original doesn't match the musicality of it. I think that is why the originals will always be respected and cherissed. Specially by those who cover them. I only wished they get over the flashyness and went more into musicality.
Genesis video was great (Reagan as a Superman puppet, lol), and I'm a huge Phil Collins fan, but I like this version even better than the original!
I like the original better but this version is pretty awesome. Genesis definitely has the cooler video. That thing is so twisted. There is something not right about a Phil Collins puppet.
