That is the best thing about Death Cab: All of their songs... you can relate one to your life at all times. It's why they are my favorite band.

Reminds me of my dad. These words could have just as easily come from me.

from what I've read this song wasn't about his own father but the father of a close friend of his. His friend hated that even after he was dead nobody would tell the truth about him and so Ben Gibbard wrote this song.
