De/vision is a synth-pop band from Darmstadt, Germany, consisting of vocalist Steffen and keyboardists Thomas and Markus. The trio formed in 1988 and released several full-lengths, EPs, and remix albums. They signed to WEA Records in 1997, and in November 1998 celebrated ten years together by releasing Zehn, a best-of which includes many of their own remixes. Markus left the band in 2000 and De/vision continued as a duo. In 2002, they re-released a live double-CD and a remix album with their biggest hits from 1993-1996. ~ Kenyon Hopkin, Rovi
I've fallen in love with this band, accidentally. Consistently, they crop up in my stations, I will hear a song and think, Hey, this is really good, I love this guy's voice, then I'd realize it was De/Vision again. That's how getting into a new band should be; you like what you hear before you know what you're hearing.
Definitely INFLUENCED by Depeche Mode. But if you're going to just go Wah DM ripoff!, then that goes for every band in existence all the way back to the middle ages. Stop hating, enjoy it for what it is.
I didn't think they sounded like DM, but I've only heard one song, just right now. Similar GENRE but that's all. I totally like the one song I've heard so I came here to find out more. I like them so far.
There are a million bands that sound like Depeche Mode this is just one that doesn't suck. Some of their songs do sound like DM and some others really don't. this band can grow on you
I enjoy singing along to many of the songs from this band. I don't care about opinions who say De/Vision "sounds" like Depeche Mode as I like them too. In fact, that should be a plus to really enjoy listening to this band!
Every new thing is the product of one or more older things combined with something new. Depeche Mode was also influenced by other groups. This stuff is great in my opinion.
Just heard group for the first time on my One eskimO radio. Steffan's voice reminds me of David Sylvan, deep and mysterious. I like, I'll have to add them to my radio playlist.
ive been listening to devision since 2004 and pandora showed me like 3 ablums i didnt know they had. anything for their remixed cd is amazing

Hope Won't Die is a great De/Vision song you should look for--as for other solid, similar groups not mentioned below: Assemblage 23 VNV Nation Michigan Red Flag A Covenant of Thorns Colony 5 Droom Hideous Input
I'm so glad Pandora seems to understand my "Foreign station" very well now. I'm in the USA and enjoy listening to things outside America the most. "In Dir" is the song that played for me, and I liked it quite a bit.
Turn Me On is one of those songs that makes me close my eyes and think about all the things I love about my guy. (Sorry for the cheese. Just got engaged. :) )
I am doing paperwork with pandora minimized... keep hearing these songs that I love... realize that it keeps turning out to be De/vision. Gotta have them... beautiful music... thank you pandora!

but subkutan is slightly disapointing , more poppy and fast paced.
Aimee is a really good song, and addictive in my opinion,
go with 6 feet kidz :)
The lyrics aren't as poetic either...
but not bad...
you may like Camoflage... a UK band that is a closer DM knockoff.
congrats sariah3 :)
