Danger Danger

Just like any musical movement, when such glam metal pretty boys as Poison and Ratt hit the big time in the late '80s, numerous copycat acts followed in their path; one being Danger Danger. Like the aforementioned bands, the quintet -- Ted Poley (vocals), Andy Timmons (guitar), Bruno Ravel (bass), Steve West (drums), and Kasey Smith (keyboards) -- mixed pop hooks and good looks with hard-edged guitar riffs, landing a deal with Epic in 1989. The same year saw the release of the group's self-titled debut, spawning the single/video "Naughty Naughty," which enjoyed a few airings on MTV's Headbanger's Ball program. The album failed to break the group through to the big time, but the group stuck to their guns and issued further albums: 1992's Screw It, 1995's Dawn, 1998's Four the Hard Way, and 2000's Return of the Great. ~ Greg Prato, Rovi

The morons who write up these bios are retarded. Danger Danger were not copycats. Yeah I agree with Cody Watts underrated as hell.
Underrated as hell
The idiots who compose the reviews for Pandora need to all roll themselves up in their apparently preferred s**t '90s crap music, get shipped off to some deserted island somewhere and f**k each other to death listening to Grunge.
Bang bang is honestly the cutest song: ) love danger danger
Ahhh 2D. What a great band
saw Ted Poley recently play and he is such an amazing singer and he's very sweet and I'm happy I met him and you can't get enough of his smile
hey bobonnit let's hear some of your music..oh yeah just because you claim to be a music expert, doesn't make it true. I don't care how many records you claim to have owned, you're not worth wasting anymore time on. Piss off you untalented loser.
Awesome, one of my favorite hair metal bands of the 80s.
Glam metal pretty boys ? No thanks. This is not rock & roll, this is theatrics. Thumbs down noisemakers.
im way envious of the people who grow up with the 80's i wish i could go back in time and enjoy the 80's rock n roll
Ya I miss the 80's too the band had great lead singers. That you could understand just well composed music
Saw them play at a club in Salisbury Beach, MA back in 1989/90. I agree with many that if they had come out 3 or 4 years earlier they would have been much more well known. Andy Timmons is an amazing guitar player and I put him right there with George Lynch, Warren DeMArtini, Reb Beach etc. Ted Poley is a great singer for them as well.
I met these guys when I was 17..it was freaking awesome! They posed for pics autograph the whole 9..good night that was! Love D2!

Great, underrated band. If you check out their last release, 2009's Revolve, it's got no filler... all killer cuts. All their stuff rivals anything BonJovi ever put out. Too bad they came out at the tail-end of that genre of music... If they had come out earlier in the 80s, they would've probably been bigger. Great songs.

Their debut album kicked A**! I had never heard of them until I saw them open for Alice Cooper in support of his POISON album. Catchy songs and great musicianship with STRONG pop appeal. I thought they were a one & done band... I had NO IDEA they released anything after the debut.
I saw them open for Kiss. They came on first before Slaughter and just rocked! It was fun, good music and even more fufilling was that they came out and hung in the audience after their set to watch Kiss and rock out with everyone else. I saw one of them in a 7-11 in Ft Lauderdale and he was super cool and friendly.
Well said twilkinsjr. Grunge made the music so serious. Im not going to lie I liked it, but there is a time for "fun" music. Now its sad lame hip hop seems to have filled that void...
I'm not a big fan of the band, but Timmons is an amazing guitar player. They may have followed more successful bands into the genre, but none of them had a guitarist who could measure up to him.
Who could ever forget "One step from paradise"? Need I say more?
One of my favorite bands of all time. Bruno Ravel is a Juliard trained musician and Andy Timmons, well what can you say other than he's the best. They didn't get as big as some of the other bands of their time, but they did okay for themselves, they did open for KISS.

This was one of my favorite bands in high school. Being a musician myself, I appreciated how fun the music of my generation was and imo Danger Danger stood out intrumentall y and lyrically and never earned the attention they deserved. The soundtrack of today's generation is depressing and too serious. I love using Pandora to relive my youth.

As a musician, I enjoyed the "second tier" bands like D2, Tyketto, and Tuff. Not being on a major lable forced them to dig deep for material and stay true to the music.
These were the good days for me.

They suck, big time. Just another band in the bunch.
unfortunatel y they just missed the bus with warrant and the rest of the hair bands. if they would have hit the scene about 2 or 3 years earlier they would have caught on better. ted poley is the man!
They REALLY need to add the rest of the D2 catalog to Pandora.
Ted and the guys ROCK!
they are a star on music choice and i like them
One of the Best Bands ever, they rock, and rock with style, drivin g rock, with great melodies, and rocking vocals, and kick in the a** guitar, and the down beat of a very good drummer, who did not get much attention..
Sure miss the "80's"
I was a big fan of Danger Danger, catchy riffs and something to groove to when jamming on a Friday/Satur d a y night.
Danger Danger is the greatest of 80's Hair Metal! Rythmic guitar and solos with clean vocals and very uptempo beats always ROCK!
