Love the song and the band. It has a beautiful message too. It's pretty clear that rain is symbolic for all the hate and violence in the world.

Love this piece. Have a Rainy Day playlist on the IPOD and this one made it in first. Multiple meanings that the listener can have and that is a sign of great music. I always thought of Nam but I can certainly see the Woodstock meaning and considering they were there it makes sense. Peace.

I believe it's about Vietnam and the use of Agent Orange to defoliate. Ask any soldier and he'll tell you if the wind was blowing in your direction it felt like rain and burned when it hit your skin.
