There will never be another band like cream and to quote bass extraordinare Jeff Berlin "Jack Bruce's bass line is a melody by itself in this song". Timeless.
Crossroads is quite simply one of the best rock and roll tunes ever written a.nd performed. Cream just nailed it baby. The image of the Crossroads is so fantastic. Clapton wails on this piece. The movie referred to here is solid but is very hard to find. Peace and Music.
When this was released on the "Wheels of Fire" LP in the summer of 1968, i believe, they were writing 'Clapton is God' all over the nyc transit system!!!
Crossroad the movie about Robert Johnsons missing last song. The Karate kid actor is in it. Has anybody heard of it. None of video stores around here carry it. They keep trying to sell me some Britney spears movie?-YUCK no thanks to that!
Yes - this is the definitive, classic version of this blues classic ; none come close, ( not even Clapton - solo ) . The CREAM version !!

The best rock/blues single of all time. I love Cream, not so hot on Clapton, but this song has rocked me since I was 14 and that was 40 years ago! Robert Johnson wrote it 70 years ago, but Cream made it unforgettable!!!!!
