The Confession

Hard-rockin' emo kidz from Orange County, the Confession is at least a little different from most metalcore acts of their time and place, thanks in large part to lead singer and lyricist Taylor Holland Armstrong's clean, well-trained vocal style and the band's taste for old-fashioned lengthy guitar solos out of the '70s hard rock stylebook. Armstrong and the rest of the Confession -- guitarists Kevin Fyfe and Jake Ortiz, bassist Matt Pauling, and drummer Jeff Veta -- hail from the oceanside Los Angeles suburb of Dana Point, where the band formed in 2005 while most of its members were still in high school. While the Confession was playing the local club circuit, local-band-made-good Avenged Sevenfold chose the younger act to be their opening act for an extensive national tour. This led to the Confession getting signed to the Record Collection label, a faux-indie imprint bankrolled by Warner Brothers, which released the young band's hastily recorded debut EP in 2005. After further touring, including a stint on the 2006 Taste of Chaos package tour, Ortiz was replaced by new guitarist Justin Norman. The Confession released their album Requiem, produced by Avenged Sevenfold's M. Shadows, in June 2007 through Science Records and spent the summer on the Warped Tour. ~ Stewart Mason, Rovi

This band not only SOUNDS like Parkway Drive, but they are also from Australia. What's more, with those weird cleans (I like cleans but they just don't fit this band), they sound like a mock of The Amity Affliction, yet another band from the same genre and same continent. Byron Bay is the homeplace of Parkway Drive and Confession, so there's another similarity. Oh, and to top it all off? They play in Drop B just like Parkway Drive does.
So, Confession has put out another crappy album and their still listed under The Confession Radio. This really sucks.
Why is "The Confession" and "Confession" listed as the same band? Pandora, you need to fix this.
Such a goo band the guitarist band is even better
loubro2006
Sounds like a great band "die to live" is beast! /M\
help us out and give us a like on facebook? At the Hands of Victims, we will not disappoint ;)
Pandora has The Confession and Confession as one band. That is wrong, they are two separate bands
The vocals remind me of I set my friends on fire
These guys have some really beautiful and amazing songs.

the confession and CONFESSION are completely different bands kinda makes me mad that they mixed them up
Great s**t
I hear some bmth influence...
They've been broken up for years buddy. Taylor is in a new band called Sons of the Damned. They're playing with Matt Pauling's new band Hell or Highwater May 21st at the Roxy in Hollyweird. Both are great bands with solid performances . Check em out.
boneripper98 . . . w h a t are you talking about? They're on tour with Parkway Drive right now.

the song Jealousy has really grown on me.
i find myself absentminded l y singing it ALOT.
awesome job.
I wouldn't quite call this emo. Most music has emotion, but not every musical composition with feelings is emo. When I think emo, I think social anxiety and rapid-cyclin g bipolar with emotional baggage written everywhere. I don't feel burdened or creeped out listening to the music. I feel pumped. Great musicians, vocal style, and hard rock/metal feel. I wouldn't stereotype it with any "red-flag" word. It's brilliant, hard music.
cerdom
pretty cool. :)
I wouldn't call this prog. But the idea of prog-emo definitely sounds cool. WHERE CAN I FIND PROG-EMO?
maybe a little emo, but they have a great sound.
Could this possibly be prog-emo? I am very impressed with the musicianship of this band! Thumbs up here!
Like these kids...fresh sound...Goth - A n n you rock...I see you all over Pandora :P
