Haven't heard one Coldplay song I didn't like-and that's saying something. I love their lyrics and their tunes and how there is a song for every occasion, weather you want to jam out or reminisce or just chill :)
This is such an interesting song it makes me want to just live you know? Like my ex boyfriend just broke up with me and we were together for 7 years and i mean i was really sad but now listening to this song it made me wanna just forget about him! And just move on with life and carry on :-)!
The cover is in a cipher that you can find in the album book thingy. It assigns "colors and squares" to every alphanumeric character and some symbols. The cover says X&Y.
This song is beautiful. One of my favorites.
Also, agreed on wrong lyrics. A couple spots have extra words or just a couple wrong ones, like "and it goes on" instead of "up."

I agree with ichthchic, the correct lyrics are "love to the loveless shown," not "love to the lovely song"!
ichthchic
These lyrics are incorrect! They definitely do NOT say "love to the lovely song". What does that even mean; who made that up!? The actual lyrics for that line are "love to the loveless shown". Coldplay should sue Gracenote!
I think Missilemaster means that 1-2-3-1-2-3-1-2 rhythm they have in common. It's not like Coldplay patented that pattern or anything, it goes back to at least the 60's, but because X&Y and A Rush of Blood have a similar sound, it can give an impression of sameyness. Still both good songs though.
I love this song. I really can't see the similarity of "clocks". I love coldplay. My boyfriend and I have been listening to them even before they became popular. Really good vocals, great lyrics and story-telling. I really want to see them in concert.
People spent so much time complaining about "Speed of Sound" being exactly like "Clocks"--which I can't figure out, since they're only slightly similar--they didn't notice that THIS one actually is almost the same as "Clocks" in some ways (mostly the background melody). Still a good song, though, and not similar enough to be boring.
