Correct! Exactly! The worship leader worships an audience of ONE, leading others to join in worship along with them. When the music leads people to truly worship the Lord Jesus Christ ONLY, not asking for anything, not singing about "me, my, I" rather "YOU LORD" "You Jesus", then the ones giving worship are then blessed in the doing and refreshed and given rest and joy and peace. Chris Tomlin worships the Lord in his lyrics and by doing just this. He sings to the Throne of God and places his
Chris is a huge inspiration to me. I'v wanted to experience true worship for a long time. He & Matt Redman have been instrumental in learning to play the Keyboard & sing for worship in our church. I'm a pastor and I thought I was not a worship leader. These two helped me see that a worship leader is someone who worships an audience of (1) One, the only One that I should be concerned about pleasing. Needless to say, my particular style of worship has taken on a whole new dimension
