All talk of Poisonblack and Ville Laihiala aside; J.P. Leppaluoto is almost a physical manifestatio n of sex for me. His voice is deep and carries the feel of each album on a fume of hope and desire from start to finish. I cannot listen to just one Charon song, because when I pull up Charon on my music player I have to listen to the entire discography every time.

I like poisonblack better now with Ville (ex-sentence d ) being the frontman now. I'm a huge sentenced fan.

When I first heard these guys I thought they sounded quite a bit like PoisonBlack.
Charon has several other albums as well as many singles.
Charon and H.I.M. both form around the same time. H.I.M. 1991 Charon 1992. Similar Gothic Love Metal sound. H.I.M. has more recognition because they are still together. Charon last release was in 2005. they are working on another release. If you like H.I.M. try Entwine, Beseech, and The Rasmus. Juha-Pekka Leppaluoto, lead vocals for Charon is also on a new release, Northern KIngs, with three other Finnish Goth Metal artists.
