I was introduced to this musician while shopping in a vintage store that was playing her music. I had to stop and ask the store clerk who was the person singing through the speakers and he said Ceu. I had him write it down and I went home and looked it up on Pandora and I been hooked every since then which was Christmas 2010. I had never listened to Brazilian music before and now I created a whole radio station around it on Pandora now. She is a beautiful artist with a beautiful jazz and soulful
blessed to have followed innovative brazilian musicians since 1971 while living in Sao Paulo and to continue to discover voices and lyrics that bring tears of joy for continued free spirit of expression. obrigado Céu

Discovered this amazing artist'Ceu' throug Pandoras "Bebe" Station, incredibly understanding the music of this talented baeatiful voices..minds and feelings touch our musical sences.. So fantastic..!! Thanks
I LOVE Ceu's music. The songwriting reminds me a bit of Amy Winehouse without the booze and swagger. The quirky noises and notes shimmering around the edges of the song helps take it out of traditional Samba. It floats and glimmers like water moving through the air, so sensuous. Wonderful!
I heard her listening to Sade Radio here on Pandora and now its all I listen to. Drives my kids crazy because they dont understand and neither do I but she is a great artist and calms my home and my soul.
Yes it is Portuguese, very close to, but a different language than Spanish. Sixth most widely spoken language in the world, spoken by 51% of South Americans. Eu amo as musicas do a cantadora Céu!

Portugese is the language spoken in Brazil and, I believe, sung on this album. I understand very, very little of it, but balance of consonants and vowels really lends itself to song. I suspect she -- or, indeed, many Brazilian artists -- could sing a grocery list and it would come across as poetic to my American-English-native ears!
