Classic! I wish Karen had lived to make more music over the last 25yrs. She has very good, powerful vocals.

Beautiful, poetic, heartbreaking..I have always been a big fan of their music. The world lost a wonderful talent when Karen died. She had a voice like an angel.

There'll never come along a voice like Karen's. Perfect, always perfect, was how the recording engineer would comment on Karen's voice. In the recording studio, the Carpenter's were perfectionists and they rarely, if ever made mistakes. What a tragedy that the rest of us have been robbed of this wonderful gift to the world. But Karen does live on in all of us who are her biggest fans.
Breaks your heart from the first verse. No song brought out the melanchology and sadness in Karen's voice like this gem penned by Leon Russell. Easily the most haunting cover of the song, would have been perfection if Richard had not sped up the choruses and just let us luxuriate in the mournful spell of Karen's singing.

Chris Farley & David Spade in Tommy Boy singing this song while driving down the road with tears in their eyes - one of my favorite movies moments!
