My dad was in a quartet in Colo. Springs. I had the great privilege to hear the Orphans and of course the Bills. I was little, I went to the After Glows and could stand in the center when the quartets were singing facing each other. The sound was quad long before there was such a thing. It was incredible. My dad's quartet sang me to sleep some nights while they were rehearsing. What a gift to grow up with these men and these songs. Thank you Uncle Pete (of the Orpahs) Thank you to all!

Probably the best barbershop quartet in history. In the mid-50's, my high school quartet had the experience of being on the same program with them at a local barbershop night on a high school stage in Warsaw,NY. Truly jaw-dropping. Why is there no bio of this gold standard, benchmark group? jculbertson.
