One-fifth of the Backstreet Boys, Brian Littrell first learned to sing in the choir of his Lexington, KY, Baptist church. Music was always important to him, but Littrell had originally planned on entering school to become a music minister, not to be a pop star. Things changed, however, when cousin Kevin Richardson asked him to come to Orlando, FL, to join the boy band that was being started there. Littrell, who at the time was still a senior in high school, agreed, and embarked on what would become a long career with the Backstreet Boys. Finally finding time for his own pursuits in the five-year span between Black & Blue and Never Gone, Littrell was able to write songs and record a solo CCM album, entitled Welcome Home, which was finally released in 2006. The same year he won a GMA Music Award for his version of Michael English's "In Christ Alone." ~ Marisa Brown, Rovi
I just read his bio right now, that's crazy..going from such a big band to a solo career, might I add a Christian artist. he must have got so much crap for that..God Bless him.

It's amazing to me how someone of this stature can go and be part of such a secular group and still remain strong in his roots of Christianity. The temptations he faced had to be many, and they must have been extremely hard. He is a talented talented man, and because his voice and his talents and his love of the Lord, I am a huge admirer and fan. We need more individuals like Brian. God bless him, and keep inspiring Brian!

I am a huge BSB fan and love his Christian music just as much, I really wish that he would do another album! I can honestly say that his solo music and the music of the BSB has saved my life one more than one occasion. Most notably when my infant son passed away from a brain condition that no neurologist in the country had ever seen before. His name was Chrisian and he was my only son, and I fell into a deep depression contemplating suicide and it was this album and the song Never Gone that help
Not freak of the Backstreet Boys but the song Welcome Home of his album with the same title was AMAZING! Refocusing of his talent bended with his life purpose bring out a more powerful pasion and voice, that's a winnning combo.
He has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. It's like listening to an angel sing! He's gorgeous too! I could stare into those baby blues forever!
