This is my friend's daughter favorite song. My friend was actually 6 months pregnant with an her daughter and alone after the father of the baby left her. Then she met this wonderful guy, we call him an angel. His first gift to her was a little baby dress. When the baby was born her was there, held her hand and was the first one to hold the baby. 13 years later, they are happily married and have another daughter. When this song came out, Lilly play it for whom she consider her daddy.
Now this is a wonderful song! I remember when this came out, I told my mother to be sure and have my step-dad listen to it. Through all the years, having a relationship with my father, my step-dad has remained "my dad." My step-dad is the one who raised me and I will be ever greatful for him. That's the "dad" I have always wanted to be!
