The Blood Brothers

Rebellious and nasty, the Blood Brothers defined their own brand of punk-soaked angst rock when they came together in 1997. Jordan Blilie (vocals), Johnny Whitney (vocals), Waxwing's Cody Votolato (guitar), Morgan Henderson (bass), and Mark Gajadhar (drums) all hail from Seattle; they've shared the stage with Pretty Girls Make Graves and the like. The Blood Brothers' debut album, This Adultery Is Ripe, was released in 2000. It was a rough-edged, sour set of songs and the press immediately praised the Blood Brothers' scowl at mainstream society. March on Electric Children, which appeared in 2001, continued on with the Blood Brothers' spastic presentation. ARTISTdirect was quite impressed, and offered the band a deal the following year; shortly thereafter, the angry five-piece issued its most cohesive material to date with Burn Piano Island, Burn. In fall 2004, the Blood Brothers returned with their first release for V2. Crimes was produced by Seattle local John Goodmanson (Blonde Redhead, Sleater-Kinney, the Catheters). In between tours with Against Me!, Kill Me Tomorrow, the Chinese Stars, Coheed & Cambria, and Dance Disaster Movement, Whitney and Gajadhar worked on their side project Neon Blonde, which released the album Chandeliers in the Savannah in 2005. The Love Rhymes with Hideous Car Wreck EP tided fans over until the release of Young Machetes in fall 2006. Described by the bandmembers as a return to their earlier, more frenetic sound, the album featured Guy Picciotto as producer. The group disbanded in late 2007, with Whitney forming Jaguar Love and the rest of the band becoming Past Lives. ~ MacKenzie Wilson, Rovi

saw them on crimes tour, so epic. puked in the pit cos i was so full of beer and couldnt breathe. wouldnt change anything
Man when I saw them live in Philadelphia at the starlight ballroom in 2009 it was awesome actually met Johnny when he came out to watch the show! Last time though broke up later that year
I haven't had they 'Damn I wish I'd been into them before they broke up' feeling for more than a decade, and it was hard to approve a Blood Brothers Radio station. As with Black Metal or Industrial, I know I'm going to get 10 un-listenabl e bands for every genuinely brilliant outfit.
oi, i listen to suicide silence, DO NOT SHOP AT HOT TOPIC, and i'm 17. oh yeah, hot topic is part of the system! i find all my s**t elsewhere but never at hot topic!
saw them 3 times live.. so amazing. all of you who bash them dont know what youre talking about. youre probably 13 and listen to suicide silence and shop at hot topic.

Saw them live I I think about 4 months before they broke up. Hands down the worst show I've ever been to, which is sad considering how much I like them. They were really ready to split up (hopefully temporarily) by the looks of it. So disappointin g . They're still great though!
