One of the most successful songwriters in all of Christian music, Bill Gaither was an original member of the renowned gospel music act the Gaither Trio (comprised of Gaither, his brother Danny, and sister Mary Ann). Bill's wife, Gloria, would go on to replace Mary Ann in the group, and the trio was eventually inducted into the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame in 1999. In addition to recording with the trio, Bill and Gloria recorded as a duo and as part of the Gaither Vocal Band. Gaither has been an extremely prolific composer of new gospel material, and has published more than 500 songs, including many that have become contemporary standards in the genre. His popular television program, The Gaither Gospel Hour, and a series of videos documenting many of the legends of southern gospel have led to the creative rebirth of what had been a declining genre of music. In all, Gaither has recorded over 40 albums, won five Grammy Awards, numerous Dove Awards, and has been the Gospel Music Association's songwriter of the year eight times. My soul rejoices when I hear gospel music. I am impressed with the harmonies so much that I feel a terrible loss when I hear other music. Discovering that I can hear gospel music when I'm working on the computer has been a true blessing. It's sorta like a taste of what I imagine it will be like in Heaven for us (except for the writter below who says they are not a Christian but they like the music - what will eternity be like for them? Pray for their salvation

Bill and Gloria have been special to me and my family for years. My four daughters and I and my husband began singing when the girls were in high school. Our first song was "Worthy" They have been so faithful to Gods cause. Also, Bill kissed me on the cheek in Houston, when concert was over.

I thank God for people like the Gaithers. God has used them in a wonderful way. Thank God they heeded His plan for their lives. I was born and raised in the generation of Southern gospel music, so I'm especially grateful for the Gaithers keeping it alive and well. Their DVDs have introduced me to the more current gospel music sound, and has helped me to slowly adjust to the newer music. My goal is to eventually own all of the DVDs & CDs. Thanks Bill & Gloria!
