Originally called Slainte, the London-based Irish rock sextet Bible Code Sundays changed their name when they began composing their own songs as opposed to covering the classics. Fronted by Ronan MacManus (brother of Declan MacManus, better known as Elvis Costello), the band also boasts the talents of Andy Nolan (Shane MacGowan & the Popes), Carlton Hunt (Bad Manners), Enda Mulloy, Joe Moran, and Patrick Franklin. A popular act on the London pub scene, Bible Code Sundays mix the traditional sounds of their Irish heritage with the more modern sounds of rock & roll and punk. The band's debut album, Ghosts of Our Past, arrived in 2006, followed by Boots or No Boots in 2007. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
Any brother of Declan's is a brother of mine. I'm curious about his name, tho. Is Ronan a traditional name? It makes me think of "ronin" as in "samurai."
Regardless, the band is the JAM
