I strongly recommend if you're ever in Liverpool, England, to go to the Beatles Museum. It's great. Bring plenty of pounds to buy all the memorabilia you'll want to bring back for you and friends. The place is meant to look like "The Cave", one of the earliest places they played. I could kick myself cuz Liverpool is totally "hip" and "mod". The kids are on the cutting edge of fashion and I used the wrong memory card for my camera and it started writing over itself!
I love this song, but I just took the time not very long ago to really listen to the lyrics. Now I know what it's really about. Funny that this just happened to me after so many years of hearing the song.

Love this song! In addition to creating so many indredible songs, the Beatles were a great band that collaborated to create an amazing sound. The drum part is a great illustration of the contribution of Ringo to the group.
This song is Beatles goodness. They only wrote like 2 bad songs in there whole career ("baby's heartbeat" doesn't count, even know the malice behind was awesome, look it up Richard Branson tried to get the Beatles to give him a free track for his magazine). The others involve Ringo singing. I love the Beatles soooooo much.
"Ticket" has a classic John Lennon vocal on it... "ahhhh..she's got a ticket to ride..." Amazing that John insisted that George Martin double track his vocals all the time, ( he didn't believe it was strong enough). Oh - it was strong enough alright! But what happened is that we got a double dose of John's voice EVERYTIME...it made it that much more powerful. We are lucky to have these songs ! I love them all !

they had a knack for writing heartsick sad songs without sounding like they were pitying themselves
