One of the Windy City's hottest attractions during the early '90s, boasting the prolific songwriting skills of lead singer Ralph Covert and incendiary lead guitar from John Duich. Formed in 1987, the band issued a cassette, Meat: The Bad Examples, the next year. Covert's "Not Dead Yet," one of the group's most popular numbers, was covered by Styx on their Edge of the Century album. The Bad Examples' debut CD on the Water Dog label, Bad Is Beautiful, was released in 1991, and a live set followed one year later. Subsequent releases included 1995's Kisses 50¢ and the 1998 live album Two-Meter Sessions. Bassist Tom "Pickles" Piekarski formerly played with John Prine. ~ Bill Dahl, Rovi
Ralph & the BE's rock. Ralph has been having some public gatherings of Ralph's Army where he pass out his music and you can play along on your own guitar.

I just saw them a fest and they are getting back together....
c'mon guys, they might not be U2 but they are one of the best undiscovered band's of the 90's, thanks to the grunge movement. If you don't like what they are playing here I'd say give a listen to their live album "Cheap Beer Night". Well written songs sung powerfully and soulfully by Ralph Covert and awesome, I mean AWESOME, blues/rock guitar by John Duich (R.I.P John).
