This artist/group has a sound that is similar to Gary Moore so if you like this group you will most likely like Gary's sound. He is one of the best guitarist around and has recorded with many others.

Back Door Slam is Davy Knowles, I think he sounds like Warren Haynes but better.

hey! the guys are only 18, 19 and 20 yrs old when this was recorded. Davey Knowles had actually put the original band together with his school buddies. As they became more and more famous, Davey sort of moved past the original members in his promise of a bright recording future. Thus the new name: Davey Knowles and Back Door Slam.

Back door slam are touring this summer. And they have a new CD to be released soon. Davy has been working on other projects including a duet with Jonatha Brooke, 'Taste of Danger' which is quite good.

Saw them over the weekend in Minnapolis opening for Mule, unbelievable ! May be too early to tell but Davey Knowles may just be the next great one? Ala Clapton, SRV etc....
Saw them in Baltimore last week with GOv't Mule. Davey tore it up. These kids are great, old school blues and rock.
