The earthy Christian rocker Ashley Cleveland began her career during the mid-1980s as a Nashville session vocalist, singing on well over 200 records before cutting her own demo tape with drummer/producer Craig Krampf. The recording won her a contract with Atlantic Records, and in 1991 Cleveland issued her debut album Big Town. She moved to the Reunion label for 1993's Bus Called Desire; for Lesson of Love, issued two years later, she earned her first Grammy award. ~ Jason Ankeny, Rovi
I saw Ashley C. in 1994 at Cornerstone Festival (Illinios) ; At the time she performed while, maybe, 6 months pregnant. Slow down? No way! She, her husand and the band gave a rollercoaster energy show that I will always remember. Check out her version of the classic hymn Power in the Blood.

I have 2 of her cd's and they both rock! She has a smoky expression in her voice that is most noteworthy. From blues to rock, Ashley lays it down nicely. She definitely has a God given talent!

My all-time favorite singer. Have all her CDs except the hymns one. You must catch her live when she has her husband, Kenny Greenberg, with her. One of the best live guitar players you'll see.
