The Norwegian industrial band Apoptygma Berzerk is actually one Stephan Groth, sometimes known as Grothesk. Groth released his first single as Apoptygma Berzerk in 1991 and got his international break with an appearance on the Sex, Drugs and E.B.M. compilation. He signed with Metropolis Records, which issued a career summation in 1998 entitled The Apopcalyptic Manifesto, a collection of early singles and tracks from the Norwegian album Soli Deo Gloria. The full-length, all-new 7 followed later in the year, and in early 2000 Apoptygma Berzerk resurfaced with Welcome to Earth. Kathy's Song followed a year later. ~ Steve Huey, Rovi
agree with dulin. love the bands older works. the new stuff to me is awful with the exception of the ep remixes and such. still the band is awesome i just dont like the direction theyve gone.
This is one of my most favorite songs ever, nothing can compare to the incredible memories I have when I hear this song...F**king amazing is what it is!
"Harmonizer" really signaled a turning point for the band, in terms of the underlying atmosphere and tone to their compositions. As a fan of their earlier, more EBM-based recordings, I have a hard time reconciling "You and Me Against the World" and the "Black" E.P. with everything before. Its one of the few instances where the band has a truly radical shift in their "sound." Personally, I don't much care for the more recent recordings. But at least they don't put out the same album every year...
I'm quite proud of my Norwegian roots and heritage, but I do not think that AB comes even close for worthiness of being mentioned in the same breath as IR, A23, VNV Nation or Covenant. That's just me, though. And DM put out one excellent album- Violator. Am I missing something?
yes f**kin finally i thought f**kin pandora wpould never f**kin play them theese guys are the f**kin s**t i like them almost as much as i like sex!!!!!

Into the unknown, Cambodia, and Suffer in silence are competing for 1st place, and I think there might be more songs of his I havn't heard.
Anyone got any other suggestions?
