An Indonesian pop princess who later moved to Europe to conquer the Western charts as well, Anggun was born in Jakarta and listened to native Javanese music as well as rock icons like Elvis Presley. She began performing at the age of seven, and recorded her first album just two years later. By the time Anggun was 17, she had become the most popular artist in the country during the early '90s.
Not satisfied with her success, Anggun moved to London and later Paris to begin recording for a breakthrough into the European charts. With the help of producer Erick Benzi (whose credits stretch from Celine Dion to Jean-Jacque Goldman and Johnny Hallyday), the soulstress recorded the album Snow on the Sahara for a 1998 release on Epic Records. ~ John Bush, Rovi
With The Breath of An Angel. I think she's singing in Tagalog in this song on some parts. Can someone check it out and let me know please? And what is she saying?

One of my all-time favorite female voices and a stunning beauty. Is she still making music? I would see her concert at the drop of a hat, if she ever tours the USA... Don't make me fly out there! Hehe.

She's Filipina. and she actually started with Enigma. The band. She was the female background singer in that band. In this song she A Rose she's singing some Tagalog. A Dialect of it. She did the same with Enigma sometimes.

Found out about her when she did a show on PBS a few years after the release off Snow on teh Sahara. My husband and I were entranced by her sound and talent. We try from time to time to find her albums in the US but it's not easy.
