reminds me of andy timmons. who cares. sounds good. chet atkins... from heaven
Great tone he has. Truly masterful playing. I hear a lot of Hendrix in his phrasing and tone. First I'm hearing of him - makes me wonder where the hell I've been to not have noticed him before. For once I can say thanks Pandora!
I met him in Syracuse back stage .he played a little pig nose amp with a dead battery. The sound was delayed. He still played for me and my friend. I said it must be great to be able to play whatever u want . He said yeah its pretty cool. He is a beast and inspiring.

I met Andy last week and he's just as nice as he is awesome. I think he has the singular best guitar tone on the planet. Period.

Good point Kungfucious. I might also add that all great guitarists (whether they were directly instructed over a long period of time or not) learned a lot from other guitarists before them. So it really doesn't matter if Satriani taught him or not. I've played and taught for over 25 years and I've had students that worked hard and became really good, and other who were lazy butts and wasted their talent. Kudos to Andy for using his skills as a session musician. That takes a lot of talent an
I miss the days when you had to be talented to be successful in the music business. listen to the radio today and more than likely most of the people you will hear are 10% talent and 90% computer. GO ANDY!!!
i think this dude is disgusting at guitar i mean hes got soul but i love how the bio says the simular artists JOE SATRIANI, and peaple are saying whohe sounds like lol, but it never mentions SATCH TAUGHT THIS DUDE FOR GODS SAKE
I used to catch Andy Timmons back in the early to mid 90's when a he was the House Band for Dallas's Q102. radio station. Andy Rocks!!!

Resolution was written after 9/11. I still get lost in the raw emotion of the tune. Andy's new one coming out is Plays Sgt Pepper and what I've heard is fantastic!
Andy Timmons is nothing short of incredible! Reminds me of Eric Johnson in some ways, but they both have their own unique sound, personally, I would love to see them tour together.
Brilliant, so much more depth and musical feel than Satriani or Vai. More Al DiMeola meets Jimi Hendrix to me. Resolution is brilliant, listenable and just plain amazing.
even though there are formulaic sounds and riffs Ive heard before this was still magical to me - i suppose its the way its arranged and where the asymmetrical accents are...but really its the spirit and energy of the individual coming through

no one gives a s**t. stop being an elitist. If SATCH TAUGHT THIS DUDE FOR GODS SAKE, then it stands to reason that they sound alike.
