I go to mount Abe in Bristol. In my biology class last year, I looked up at one of the painted ceiling tiles and saw her name. I sat right under it all year. From then on, I've always looked (literally and figuratively) up to her<3

I gotta say, I don't think it's accurate for the bio to say that she's heavily influenced by the confessional alternative folk stylings of Ani DiFranco. They're close friends and co-creators, but have wildly different styles. Anais is a much more of a story-teller and poet; she tends to turn what personal content she has in her songs into fables. Otherwise her end product is mythical regardless of whether or not it's based on real life. Patty Griffin, maybe, but Ani DiFranco not so much.

My first listen Anais. Thank you for a beautiful Saturday night.

I was in a songwriting class with Anais about 10 years ago when I lived in Boston. She is immensely talented and a beautiful, kind person. I am so happy for her!

I met Anais as a Quaker kid going to meetings in PA with our parents. She was always a poet.
Anais has a haunting, beautiful voice and a true gift for story telling through song. She kept popping up on my Joanna Newsom station and I couldn't ignore her any longer. A great decision on my part. Keep it up, Anais darlin'.
