I would add Laura Fygi to the list for those who love Amanda. And for the song, Someone to Watch Over Me (being performed by Amanda as I write this, there's a fine performance by Rosemary Squires on a Reader's Digest album.
AManda Carr has captured my appreciation of her voice and style, which is professional and warm. She's a natural. So many great singers must envy her, and she reminds me a lot of Jackie Kral, who has been a pro in Vegas for decades.
Amanda, Diana Krall and Jane Monheit. LOVE THEM ! I love this genre. I'm a hack piano guy and I love playing from the Great American Songbook. I absolutely ACHE with jealousy when I hear talent like these ladies have and like the magnificent musicians lucky enough to acompany them.

Just heard Amanda for the first time. Beautiful in voice and appearance
I fell in love with her voice and her music the first time I saw her....in Marshfield, MA for Sunday Brunch at the old Marshfield Skateland now called Jamies. What a show.........can't wait to see her again
Nat Hentoff, writing for the Wall Street Journal on Music, wrote well deserved editorial on Amanda Carr. The article can be found at http://online.wsj.com/public/article/SB118894712728617428.html
